This Privacy Policy explains how bonk collects, uses, shares and protects the information you provide when you use the service. We aim to collect only what we need to run your store, and to be clear about what happens to it.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — name, email, phone number, business details and your hashed password
- Store data — products, orders, customers and any other content you create inside bonk
- Usage data — pages you visit, features you use, device and browser information
- Support communications — messages you send to our team
- Payment information — card numbers are processed by regulated payment providers; we do not store them ourselves
2. How we use your data
- To operate, maintain and improve the platform
- To process orders, subscriptions and billing
- To communicate about your account, support requests and product updates
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum required data with a small set of trusted service providers:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers
- Email delivery providers for transactional messages
- Payment processors when you subscribe to a paid plan
- Delivery carriers, only when you create a parcel through bonk
- Competent authorities, when required by Algerian law
4. We never sell your data
We never sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not use your customers' data for advertising, targeting or profiling outside of your own store.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (language, theme) and measure basic usage. Session cookies are required for the service to work. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, but doing so will sign you out.
6. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. After that, we delete or anonymize your data. Backups are rotated on a regular schedule.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@bonk.dz — we respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We encrypt data in transit with TLS, hash passwords with modern algorithms, limit internal access to what staff actually need, and run regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures in line with industry practice.
9. Children
bonk is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email. For any question, write to hello@bonk.dz.
